A Child Again

I take a lollipop when I need a burst of energy. I like that it is chic and goes with any style any day. With the end of the stick outside my mouth, I become a child again.

When the thoughts of my head become too much to bear, it is a welcomed and delight-some distraction. It takes away the worries and makes me feel like a child again.

I know I am all grown up and I probably should quit acting like a child. But what can I say when my Bible tells me that “Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven”.

And again, “Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven”.

I guess then that being a child again is a good thing. Especially a cherished child of God. I will remind myself of these bible truths when next I take a lollipop.

    1. So true Karen and yeah, adulthood carries with it lots of responsibilities. But we can always trust God to help us navigate to peace and safety.
