Hi guys, hope your week started out well? I have been having a swell time! *smiles* Thanks for asking.

This has been on my mind for a while now and since there is love in sharing, I will share with you this very secret thought of my heart, not that it is anything secret. *LOL*

Okay, I will present this as a question:

Will you ever let it go?

It is so amazing how difficult it is for some people to let go of their past even when it is obviously painful. I met a friend over the weekend, and yet again, he won’t let it go. He kept on talking about his past like it owed him something. His analogies, his views, his statements, even his life is not complete without a referral to his past. One could even see that his past has grossly affected the way he sees people, including himself.

I believe the past is, well, in the past! We really should learn to forgive, forget, learn and just move right on. Is it easy? Yes and very necessary for survival. Not that am an expert in this, but I don’t think letting the past hold a gun over us is right. It feels like terrorism, the past being the terrorist. It isn’t worth it and it has nothing to offer except lessons. It robs us of the future which is priceless.

Thank God for Christ Jesus! For II Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new“.

I am brand new, I am a new creation, I am a child of God and indeed I have experienced the newness of life and I am bold enough to say that old things have passed away and all things have become new.

Doubt me? Give it a try and you won’t regret it.

Happy New Week Guys!
