Is it really a tall order?

Hey guys!

I know….I know. It’s been a while but I promise that you guys have been on my mind all through the days I went AWOL and there is plenty gist!

So, I will begin with this question; Is it really a tall order?

The words impossible, difficult or maybe extremely difficult has won The Most Used Word Award in some people’s vocabulary. They just can’t go a day or week without using these words verbally or in their thoughts.

During my time away, I was swamped with activities and work that at a point I saw myself using these words so often I began to wonder at myself too.

Now, back to my question “Is it really a tall order?”. The question you should be asking yourself is “what has become a tall order for me?”  What is it that I feel or think is too difficult or impossible or beyond my reach? Why do I think it is beyond my capacity? What can I do to achieve it?

If you confront it this way while answering all these questions truthfully, believe me, it won’t be so scary anymore. You will be well on your way to making it within your reach and capacity. Running away is not an option and definitely not a solution. I repeat, DO NOT RUN AWAY!

I almost did that, run away I mean but then I remembered that whatever doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. And that is often the reward of what we consider impossible or extremely difficult. These tall orders reward us with strength, the mind to attempt much more difficult situations. That was exactly what happened in my own case and now I can say am stronger and better for it.

This reminds me of a seemingly difficult one for Christians or should I say, a Christian tall order? Ephesians 4:13. It says, “Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ”.

The last part is my focus for today, coming unto the full stature of Christ, in plain English, being like Christ in everything and in every way! This is the assignment given to His ministers and teachers for the building up of the body of Christ and in fact to all Christians. To come to the fullness of the stature of Christ. Some Christians see this as a tall order but I’d rather say that if the Spirit that raised up Christ, that is in Christ, that makes Him the Christ dwells in you, He will also quicken your mortal bodies and mind to live and come to the full stature of Christ in every way and in everything you do down to your very thoughts. (Romans 8:11 paraphrased by me). It’s not as difficult as you think and imagine.

And so I will end with this prophecy I love so dearly:

This is the word of the LORD unto Bassey (please insert your name), saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.  Who art thou, O great mountain?  before Bassey thou shalt become a plain:  and she shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it. Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, The hands of Bassey have laid the foundation of this house;  her hands shall also finish it;  and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you.

As you go into this new week and all through this month of October, I pray that the Lord of Hosts by His Spirit in your inner man will strengthen you and make every mountain to become a plain before you.  This I pray in Jesus name, amen!

Arise and conquer for victory is yours!
