Hey! It is a new week and I want to remind you that you ought to be grateful!
That is not too hard. Or is it? You don’t need a ceremony to be grateful. Or do you?
There is a saying that goes thus: “Am not where I want to be but I sure am not where I used to be”. So every progress made no matter how small is a good enough reason to be grateful.
Am particularly grateful for this week. Some 6 years ago, exactly on a week like this my world was turned upside down.
When I mean exactly a week like this, I mean the dates and days are the same as they were that year. 29th May that year was also on a Tuesday like today.
So, on 31st May that year I lost my mom, my only surviving parent then and all so suddenly everything turned around in my life and not in the positive direction.
But today am amazed that little girl has grown up to be a fyyynne woman! Am amazed that God has kept me. I miss mom and of course what can a girl do without her mom? But I know she would be super proud of me.
Am grateful to God for being there for me, being strong for me and for helping me all the way. For keeping my brothers and I. You are Amazing Lord!
Special shout out to my brother, Francis! Today is his birthday! He is my partner in…everything. We don’t commit crimes again. LOL. I pray that the heavens remember you today and send you showers of the blessing!
I also want to say thank you to ALL my readers and my WordPress family! You guys are AMAZING! The likes, visits, comments, inputs, love, nomination for awards? Where could I find that kind of love on the internet? Since you are not all Nigerians, I will just SCREAM that I LOVE YOU! Thank you!
For my Naija guys: I throw way salute! I cut cap for you guys!
And lastly, for all of you that have taken out the time, real precious time out of your very busy schedule to read, peruse, skim, and go through my book Pride on Okadabooks and you even left a comment! Words fail to capture my appreciation. I know you are planning to get your copy on Amazon soon *winks*. Thank you and my God will bless you in all your endeavors.
I love you and God bless you for being a blessing to this girl, sorry lady, sorry woman that I am today! LOL
Happy Democracy Day Nigeria!
